The might and power of the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park

When I am feeling burdened by the troubles of life, I cheat and go to the last chapter of the Bible to see how it will end.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb…
The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. Revelation 22:1-5

Next I go to Psalm 46:

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;…
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
The Lord Almighty is with us;…
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.
The Lord Almighty is with us;

Jesus is that river of living water––the power of God. I need to be still and trust Immanuel, the Lord Almighty, is with me and my family. Carrying us along to do His will. Isn’t that good news.
