In Awe

Yellowstone Falls

His forgiveness extends beyond forever,
I’m in awe of His grace for me.
His loves endures forever,
I’m in awe of His compassion given to me.
Jesus is right and just in all His ways,
I’m in awe of His plans for me.
He is my Savior, Shepherd, and King.
In awe I’m brought to His banquet hall,
Where His banner over me is love,
and I am in awe of all He has done for me.

He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the East is from the West, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;  Psalm 103:10-13

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. Psalm 89:14

He has brought me to His banquet hall, And his banner over me is love. Song of Solomon 2:4

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
love and faithfulness go before you. (Psalm 89:14)

We all want a land with the environment as it should be, unpolluted by the trash, clear crisp horizons, green healthy forest. If this is how we feel for the physical world how much more for spiritual. Oh, for a land where rightness and justice stretch from horizon to horizon. Where love and faithfulness flow unending from God to sustain life in all its abundance. The problem is me, I have pride, lust, selfishness, and other faults that hold me captive, and if I were permitted to enter would spoil the land of my dreams.

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians 15:57)

In Jesus Christ I have a way to regain my innocence and purity, a new creation never to be a blemish again. I can enter into God’s presence and be part of the joy.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! … God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:17,21)

This is ours, just for the asking.
