A Prayer For the Pandemic

Standing on a rock in the Enchantments

From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe. Psalm 61:2-3

Take heart my friends, for Jesus, the Rock of Ages, is a sure foundation for these troubled times. We can take refuge in Him.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Before the Sunrise

When the earth is still dark look up and take heart.

Courage and strength that comes from God, does not come in large reassuring scoops. Usually, the Lord doles it out in little wisps, as we stick our foot out for the next step. I guess, that is because having it in large amounts would direct our attention to ourselves, instead of constantly having to rely on God.

I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14
