An Unexpected Turn

Bend in the road of the Blue Ridge Parkway

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Psalm 23:4

No matter how many unseen twists and turns life takes, God knows each one before hand and promises to go with us.

Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you. Psalm 139:7-12

  1. Thank you Steve for being real and vulnerable. Your posts that contain your thoughts and God’s Word are a blessing to me and to many others.

  2. This just might be my all time favorite picture. I would be going somewhere and it would be a surprise. Love that unexpected turn and all of PS 139. Love your new book and can’t wait to buy one for myself… We have been without a computer for about three weeks now.
