Watching in the Woods

Where is the bobcat?

I took this photograph not realizing someone was watching me. It was not until I came home and looked closely at the photograph that I saw the bobcat watching me from behind a tree. It is the same for life. Many times we face trials feeling we are alone, that God is attending to others things or doesn’t care. But we are wrong, and only when we get home will we see that the Lord was watching over us the whole time.

He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.  Psalm 121:3-4

Merry Christmas

  1. Got “him”. But… why no snow on the ground? We’re getting slammed here in 48 hours from a storm that I thought came through your neck of the woods (the one pictured?). Oh! Congratulations, Steve, on the release of your book on addiction and recovery. Just ordered it on Amazon. And, hey, Merry Christmas, dear friend. My love to Susie. May you both enjoy peace during this Advent and Christmas in the midst of pandemic and political troubles. Grace and peace…. Jerry/ Hawk
